About Our Organization


Andy Speaks for Special Needs Persons Africa is a Not for Profit Rights Based Organization that champions for the mainstreaming of Neurodevelopmental Disabilities in matters Health, Education, Employment & Social Protection in line with the Constitution, UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPDs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa. We mainly focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Down Syndrome (DS) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Andy Speaks 4 Special Needs Persons Africa was founded by Sylvia Moraa Mochabo, a mother of 3 boys, 2 who are on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. Andy Speaks started its journey in January 2019, inspired by the  challenges experienced by founder while raising her 2 sons who also have a comorbid of Epilepsy/ Convulsive disorder.  She did baseline and hands on research in the USA, UK & locally to bench mark the status of services policies and intervention for the NEUROdiverse community.

Andy speaks 4 Special Needs Persons Africa exists to:

1. Empowerment

EMPOWER parents, caregivers and other practitioners to PROMOTE THE RIGHTS of persons with neurodevelopmental disabilities & BUILD THE CAPACITY for providence of quality support and services to ensure that they enjoy their rights.

2. Advocacy

Undertake RESEARCH and generate evidence that can be used to inform and IMPROVE POLICIES and practice

3. Uplifting

Run QUALITY PROGRAMMES for children, youth & persons with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities to achieve their full potential
